The odds of earning the scholarship are so improbable it's barely worth contemplating. But for some, it's more than a distant dream.
That's the case for Sydney: bright, vivacious, bubbly, artistic, outgoing. Born without the use of her legs, but determined not to let that define her.
And for Vivian: intense, a perfectionist, sharp, calm, prepared for anything. Of all the people at ASA, she seems, more than everyone, to have everything together - but that couldn't be further from the truth.

NOTE: This story is a loosely-autobiographical account of my own high school experience. Many, many characters and events are based off of my experiences and it's packed with inside jokes and allusions, so this will probably make far more sense if you go to my school, but I hope you like it even if you don't.
