Hiraeth; noun: A homesickness for a home that never existed, or one you can't return to. A being that was never meant to be, a boy with wars in his head, and their family and friends. Everyone fights their own battle, and not everyone wins. This is the story of many very different people, wading through the trials and tribulations of the modern world together, trying to support each other and the people around them as their feet sink deeper into quicksand. As they progress further in life they have to find where they belong. Or don't. As they figure out the inner workings of the world they struggle to understand, they find their home in each other.

Alex can be best described as "Boring or Normal" He has what is seen as a boring job, a boring and normal house,a boring car, he goes to work, goes home, and repeats it every day. Only thing that is "unique" about him is daughter Everly. He has been single for a long time, because everyone is turned off by a single dad. Zack leads a very different and carefree life. He is a bartender at one of the most popular night clubs in town. As a self proclaimed party animal, being a bartender at the night club allows him to spend his days as he wants, and spends his nights partying, or spending his evenings with people who are partying, and being surrounded by people who are just as lively as him. His life up until this point has had very little responsibility. Not that he didn't strive to be responsible, he had his bearings about him, and he enjoyed his life, but he lived his life as he wanted and at the beat of his own drum. So what happens when these two opposites meet, and are initially very attracted to each other, will they light up a spark between the two of them, or will the differences ultimately tear them apart?
