Clove and Cato in the games were only seen as blood thirsty monsters who never had a back story. But is the really what happened? In this story, we will be going back to when they were kids, starting when Cato was 10 and Clove was 8, leading up to the games.
They have created a bet to volunteer for the same games, and may the best come home. But will either? Each day they become stronger, and better. Each having the same amount of strength in different areas.
¨Will we really volunteer?¨ Clove asked, knife in hand, while trying t make eye contact with me, but I just turn away
¨Maybe they were right. What they said when we were younger,¨ I sighed
¨About?¨ She violently asks

Clove's father turns abusive when her mother dies and when Cato finds out about that, he starts being even more protective of her, and their trainer, the famous Enobaria, finds out about Clove being abused and takes Clove in, and treats her like she is her daughter.
