"Is that what you want to say? Isn't it?" His voice rose with fury.
Minnie shrank back, her body trembling. "N-no, s-sir... I d-didn't mean..." Her words broke into sobs.
His extended his hand towards his phone. "Free the classes at 2:30 today," he ordered, voice cold and unwavering.
A hesitant voice responded on the other end. "O-okay, sir." No one dared ask why. No one ever did.
She was still crying, struggling to hold herself together, but it was impossible. The weight of it all pressed down on her. She needed to stop this already she was hurt because of last night.
"N-no, s-sir... I-I'm s-sorry... I'll s-study... I p-promise..."
Tears blurred her vision, but she didn't let them fall. She couldn't. If she cried, her dear husband would only make her punishment worse.
The sharp chime of the school bell echoed through the hall. Doors swung open, and students poured out of their classrooms, laughing, chatting, heading home to lives untouched by fear.

His voice was sharp, merciless.
