UNBOUNDED

"When are you going to realize you are bound to me?!"

Kylo' s eyes searched hers, beckoning for an answer. When he was greeted only with silence, his hand gripped her arm more tightly, pulling her closer to him.

"This isn't something that can just be ignored." His jaw clenched his voice becoming low, a clear sign he was approaching his boiling point.

She blinked up at him confused until it hit her, anger suddenly crashing into her like a wave of pure destruction.

"I never signed up for any of it!" She screamed.

When the words left her lips, there was a moment of silence which was hastily replaced with the trickle of rainfall.

His eyes narrowed, "Like hell you didn't."

It was clear they weren't on the same page. They never were.

The rain began to fall quicker now, covering them in its shower. She could see the droplets form at the ends of his hair and feel them fall down her face but even as the anger still brewed deep within her-ready to be released at any moment, the warmth from his body and how his stature sheltered her from the rain kept pulling her mind away from anger that so easily took over her.

It was as if the rain shifted the mood, washing away the darkness and replacing it with a flicker of light.

Their eyes were still locked but his hand found its way to her cheek, releasing her from his grip slowly and softly caressing her skin with his thumb. He tilted his head, touching his forehead to hers and closing his eyes.

"I'd be damned if I let you slip through my fingers again."

His words were soft but held a promise she secretly hoped he'd keep forever.
