This is a short story set in a world where a zombie apocalypse has broken out.
The protagonist has no clue as to what is happening and tries to make sense of the aftermath.
note: this was originally a h/w assignment I got too carried away with lol. all my teacher did, though, was mark the 'e' of "corpse" because according to her, I spelled it 'wrong'. *facepalm* non-native English teachers smh.

A seven year old girl trying to survive the zombie apocalypse in a fairly small city in rural New Mexico. This is the third in my short story series taken from the universe created for my first book. Ardamin: Clone #7. These short stories are more horror focused than the main book. But how can you tell the story of a zombie apocalypse without some horror? This story is unedited and first draft as keeping with my first two short stories posted to Instagram and therefore will not be polished or fixed with multiple drafts leading to an end product. Ok, Who Got Bitten?
Right now, I'm squatting in a pile of human waste, desperately trying to get a signal on my phone. My friends are watching me reluctantly, their faces stained with blood and what I only hope is dirt. The light from my phone is illuminating their faces, casting light on the looks of horror that I have come to know all too well. My best friend is cradling her left arm, bandaged with a torn piece of cloth in hopes of stopping the blood flow. My sister can barely walk, and I think her hand is broken. She looks on the verge of tears. As we calm down, catching our breaths, I give up looking at my phone. I slowly turn to them, my own face crusted with blood. I look at each of them, one by one. this story was written by three middle school girls. these girls are not friends any more. there is tea on that but its none of your business. the story follows the three main characters and their group through the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. this story is being rewritten (January 2020) by two of the original writers. the other one doesn't do this anymore and this story is great leverage and black mail material against her. this story was written at least 2 years previously in 2018, possibly 2017. The world is ending. The Earth is painted with the blood of humans. Only zombies and monsters roam the lands now. But in the last standing building, 6 teenagers unexpectedly meet each other. Each helping another to survive the dangers of the what the world has become. They bond, they trust but Dream stands out from the others because she is strange and mutant-like. No one could fully trust her, not that it'd matter anyway because Dream trusts no one except herself. So, when they receive a message which sends them to the very top of the hotel. Floor 31. They are forced to fight and kill zombies and monsters just for a chance of safety. But does this 'safety' even exist?Complete
