It is their fifth year at Hogwarts, and the marauders have bit off more than they can chew.
James Potter, newly selected Quidditch captain, tries, with no success thus far, to get Lily Evans to go out with him, but she finds him rather infuriating.
All the while, his best friend, Sirius Black, has to deal with his abusive family and their dark secrets, while also struggling to understand his newfound feelings for someone.
Remus Lupin has now been a werewolf for an entire decade, and it seems like the time between full moons is only getting shorter.
Together, the marauders try to help him by becoming Animagi.
Peter Pettigrew is also in this, but he doesn't deserve a paragraph.
Mischief is definitely managed.
