Looking down at the scrambled piece of paper I read out the words scribbled in black ink over and over in my head, not knowing why I followed the instructions in the first place.
'Meet me at Curlys. 2pm'
I take one last breathe off air, and let it swirl into my lungs, before I take two long strides forward and push open the metal door into the diner. I let the breath that I was holding in my lungs escape as I hear the sound of Les Browns, Sentimental Journey oozing through the juke box speakers filling the room with calmness. I slowly look around the room taking in everything I could. My eye scanned the booths till I see the sight that's been blessing my dreams for months.
It was her. Sitting in the booth. Baby pink dress. Her hair perfectly curled and pinned. I couldn't see her face but I knew it was the girl from my dream.
My body started gravitating towards her without my brain comprehending what was happening and before I knew it I was standing in front of her, like a love struck fool.
She looks up and offers me a small smile, trying to conceal her bewildered eyes due to my proximity and my sudden appearance.
The words that come out of her mouth, sound like a harmony of angels. "Hello again Luke".
