A high-pitched, pain-stricken scream. Like a hawk. That was the sound that echoed through the gloomy sky that evening. The furious clouds banged their drums and distributed fireworks in preparation of the godly tantrum to come, animals of the forest safely tucked away in their little homes. Everything was so quiet until the hawk. A large bird of sorts, you saw it, falling from the sky. Except that it soon errupted into light, like flames, like a meteor. My whole body trembled as I tried to stop the tear that's threatening to fall. I pulled my arm away from his grip not liking the way he held my arm tightly, but very gently. Like he was afraid to hurt me but he didn't want to let go. I shook my head mentally, my feet moving faster, away from the person that destroyed everything I've believed in for. "I'm sorry" I froze mid-step, icy cold sensation travelled to my spine and I can't seem to urge my limbs to move. Spending most of his life as a woodcutter to make ends meet for his family, Christopher did not expect to be knocking down a faery house in his lifetime since they were supposed to be a myth.
