They say war is hell. I think it's quite a fair statement. One look at earth forced me to agree. A ruin with nothing left on it except hideous abominations searching to devour whats left if there even is anything. I mean they are still alive somehow so they must be feeding on something... *Shudder*
This ruin of a planet feels so strange to stand on. There used to be a saying the people of old spoke apparently. Something about having solid ground beneath your feet. Looking around even with all the rubble and garbage and whatever the fuck that is, you really do get the feeling people used to live here even if I can't quite place it. Either way I have to get outta here as my arrival would surely attract several of the aforementioned abominations.
I do have to say. I liked that feeling...

Why The Hell Not (Currently Editing)
Sweat started to form all around my body as the pain consumed me. It was 9pm and this had to be the worst wave of heat I've ever experienced! My body ached as the flames traveled from my core, spreading to the rest of my body. I hate heat, every type of heat, but mainly this one. Heat, in my pack, is a bitch! The second you turn 16 your heat starts. Then for the rest of your life you get a heat cycle once a month, as if having a period isn't bad enough. The heat happens right after your period, leaving you 2 weeks of peace as a girl if you find your mate in your 16 years of life! If you did not find your mate at by 22 it will be every 2 weeks! Your period is still once a month, thankfully, but the heat cycle directly after your period is the strongest! Leaving you ONE week of peace...unless of course you don't find your mate by the time you turn 32. If you are unlucky enough to not have found your mate by the time you are 32, then yes it will be EVERY week! Leaving you NO peace!! Once you find your mate it goes back down to once a month, thankfully. Lucky, or lucky for me, I'm 17 meaning I've gotta deal with this once a month. This one in particular is the worst one yet! Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.
Part Of The Wild
I pull my canteen out and take a swig of my hot cider letting it warm my body, but got interrupted by my sister shouting at me over the wind. "Can you take a picture of me? I have to post it to my followers when we get back down the mountain!" I roll my eyes and turn towards her, I don't even have to say anything to her, because she knows i'll always take photos for her as annoying as she may be. I peel off my mittens and feel the harsh wind eat away at my bare fingers. I stuff them in my bag, before I grab her phone and start backing up to get a better angle of her. She stands by the edge of the cliff and poses. I snap a few photos then flip the camera to take a few selfies with her in the background, even with her words of protest. I walk up to her at the edge, feeling the snow crunch under my boots, and hand her phone back. I then swing my rucksack around to the front of me, get on my knees and start to dig around for my mittens. I suddenly feel the ground shake under me. Before I could even stand up fully, the snow under my legs crumble before my eyes. Holy fuck. The snow is coming loose and is avalanching. I already feel my body fall backwards as the ground under me disappears. I look up at my sister whose face has morphed into shock. My body feels as light as a feather. This is the end for me I know it. I brace my self for deadly impact, but it never comes.. A bright light flashes as everything around me goes white. I wake up to be laying in soft snow with my rucksack on top of me. My head spun as I sat up. I look around and all I see are large trees. In fact, these trees look larger than any i've ever seen in my life, which includes the ones on Animal Planet. Where the hell am I? I look up at the sky and I see two suns? Did I get a concussion? The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves.
