Bianca was an orphan, left at the ward when she was a baby. Growing up with her friends, Bianca had a knack for causing trouble. Training to be a healer has taken its toll on her. Not only being separated from her best friend Will, but leaving her home country has caused her to become homesick. Planning a sudden trip up to Araluen for the first time since living in the ward, causes her to unknowingly to save many lives, including Will's along the way.
In No way is the Ranger's Apprentice bookseries and characters owned by me. I only own Bianca and the tribe of Curandeiros. If you speak Portuguese you will know that is just the word for healers. I'm basing the islands off of Cabo Verde in West Africa, and since their official language is Portuguese, thats what I chose. I am in no way intentionally trying to offened anyone who lives there, or any decendent of the people who lived there, I'm just trying to have fun with writing and needed a place to base the tribe off of for a visual. Please do not steal my work, if you do I will find you and report you to any fanfiction site that it is posted on, and possibly get you banned from the website. If you decide to write something inspired by my work please DM me about it and I will give you permission to do so.

The Island
Monsters and mythical creatures are real. They are very real indeed, as well as magic. We just can't see it... There is an island on our world, one where they roam and have their own sophisticated society, mostly keeping to themselves. Mostly. One of these creatures is named Bianca. She has to travel to where the humans live, that's where she gets her food. One day, she goes in for the kill like normal, but can't continue. On the way home, she kept asking herself over and over again, "Why couldn't I kill him?" After realizing she has fallen for him, she returns to her hunting spot. It has been sixteen years since Morgarath's victory. King Oswald is dead and Duncan is in exile. Morgarath now sits upon Araluen's throne, thirsting for more power. With the Ranger Corps eradicated, there is no one strong enough to stop him, not alone at least. Will, a lowly farmer of the Aspienne fief, is bored. Life on the farm had never clicked with him, and he begins to long for more. The unknown calls to him, and saving his family is enough to push him on. Gilan is a rising star with the knights of the kingdom, though those around him know he hasn't been behaving well. After the death of Sir David, his father, Gilan is dismayed as everyone around him believes the death to be an accident. He knows in his heart that his death was murder, and he knows that Morgarath had something to do with it. Crowley moves through the forests of Araluen with an entourage of "real" rangers under his command. In an insignificant corner of Araluen sits an inn run by a man named Samuel. After the war against Morgarath he returned home only to find a wreck of what he once had. Disheartened by the turn of events far from in his favor, he must learn how to get by. When a Ranger visits his life is turned upside-down. Suddenly he's caught in the middle of action when all he wanted was peace and quiet, his humble village in danger, and only he can save it. -- Trigger/content warning for a little bit of blood/gore and self-sacrificial feelings. I didn't go too far with either because I cannot handle gore or want to make you upset, just enough for the plot.
