On the night her lover was killed, Ruby Stoker managed to stick a dagger in the killer's chest. Unfortunately, the mysterious man he knew as a member of the bloodsucking or Strigoi managed to escape with serious injuries. Since then Ruby is determined to spend the rest of her life taking revenge on all the bloodsuckers she meets.

On the other hand, Alexander Dexter, a professor of classical studies at Trinity University Dublin who is famous for never getting old, has spent half his life trying to die. Unfortunately, the curse that he has can not make him die.

Alex has a dark secret that he can't reveal to everyone. That includes Ruby, the red-haired girl in his class to whom he has been attracted since the first time he met her. Ruby's eyes were as dark as black holes as if they could suck anyone into them. Alex falls in love and is determined to protect Ruby from the dangers that are after her. But as his feelings grew stronger, Alex found that there was no more room in Ruby's heart left for him. Because the space in Ruby's heart has been filled by two familiar names: Daniel Hamilton, Ruby's lover who died a few years ago, and Theodoric Drake, someone she is closest to and respects.

Soon it becomes apparent why: Mason is a werewolf. But when a fight turns into a sudden kiss that neither expects, Kieran's feelings for Mason turn to attraction in an instant. None of it makes sense - vampires and werewolves are supposed to be mortal enemies, so why does Kieran find Mason so irresistible? He knows that each kiss is dangerous, each bite is unpredictable...
