Maddison has lived with her family in Mystic Falls for 16 years with her older sister, Elena Gilbert and younger brother, Jeremy Gilbert. They all were happy until Spring May 23rd there parents Miranda Gilbert and Grayson Gilbert and her sister Elena Gilbert drove off of Wickery Bridge sending them to their death, by some miracle Elena survived the car crash. 

A few months later the Salvatore's moved back to Mystic Falls and then the truth about the supernatural world came to light to the Gilberts. Secrets that hadn't been told come out. 

The truth about there lives, revealed. Secrets Miranda and Grayson kept from Maddison about herself comes to light.
