Dear Diary
Dear Diary, I can't write to you as often anymore. There's a man here, he tells us we must be leaving our home. I don't want to go, but I don't have a choice. I believe this man. He tells us we are in grave danger. He won't tell us why, but I believe following him blindly is better than any future Hunter and I have here. We are not to talk any belongings with us, so I mustn't write to you often; only when Hunter and Xavier sleep. Our moments will be brief, but entirely worth it. We're traveling by foot across the land to the territory of our enemies. I'm frightened and I'm worried, but I know this will be good for us. I'd rather face the unknown than face the same day Hunter and I have lived ever since we arrived here. Do wish us luck, and don't fret over me. I will keep you in my heart and thoughts and I'll dance with you in my dreams. I love you, Diary. One day, we will be together. We're closer now than we ever were. Please be patient. Forever yours, Anabella ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cover made by bree (theonlyninjasmurf) <3 Can never thank you enough! It's so beautiful! BEG FOR IT
"You said you love me? Then beg for it. Beg for my love. Show me-prove it again and again until I say yes." Beatrix is a girl of few words, someone who keeps her emotions locked away, unwilling to let anyone close. After experiencing deep trust issues, she swore never to fall in love, believing that distance is the only way to protect her heart. But life has other plans. When she meets a boy in college-talkative, persistent, and endlessly curious about the walls she's built-her carefully guarded world begins to crack. He falls for her, drawn to the mystery of her hidden emotions. But even when he confesses his love, Beatrix refuses to let him in. Will she ever open her heart? Or will he have to prove his love over and over again, begging for a chance until she finally says yes?.....Terminé
The Answer at the X
Siblings Isobel and Simon are on the last leg of a journey that started before they were even born. Faded words on a scrap of paper drove their parents to leave the safety of their home. To search for meaning in a dying mans words. Generations ago, something happened that changed the world. Levelled cities. Killed billions. The note is all that remains, containing a single message to those left behind. «We tried too hard to save the world» 'The Answer at the X' is a short story set in a post-apocalyptic world a lot like our own. The story is part of the Legacy Collection, a series-in-planning of short stories and novellas set in this world, that may eventually shed some light on what actually happened when it all came crashing down. --------------------------------------------- I'll be posting this story over the next weeks. If you do not wish to wait to read it, you can purchase the eBook at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/729488 NOTE that this was originally posted by me on this site in 2016, using my first profile Cicilie. Due to a change in pen name, I have decided to post it again. This new version has been slightly edited from the original draft posted.Terminé
