We've grown up.
Two people who've once been so close, have drifted apart.
I was over it. I was okay. At least that's what I thought.
But now he's suddenly standing in front of me, out of the blue, and it feels like old scars are being ripped open. My healed heart starts breaking again.
The unsaid words are burning on my tongue but they're stuck, never leaving my lips.
"I've missed you."
The friendship of Louis and Ronnie hasn't always been that complicated. Once upon a time they were happy, but then Ronnie moved to the other side of the country and in a matter of months, they lost contact and had to move on without each other.
Four years later they meet again at some dirty frat house party and the feelings Ronnie had suppressed for years come rushing back, leaving her breathless. But Louis has changed, Ronnie has changed and they're not the two happy kids from back then.
A lot has happened in four years and Ronnie's not sure, if there's a way to go back and become friends again. And if Louis even wants that.
