Orwen Maximus, archmage of the Arcana Tower, has been searching for "The Shards of The Fallen Star" for many years, but hasn't found any of them till now. All his search leads him to Alex Rhyes, a 15-year old girl living in a countryside orphanage. Due to her unique characteristics, people call her "The Devil's Incarnation".
Seeing her up close, Orwen is surprised beyond imagination. This girl, who clearly doesn't come from any magical lineage, holds a tremendous amount of mana. He decides to bring her to Tremaine Academy, the only academy for magicians and mages in the kingdom of Adrian. There, Alex befriends Dion Felix and Pollux Lohan, and she starts to move on from her painful past, finding color in her gloomy life.
However, as days pass by, many questions start to arise. How is Alex connected to the fallen star? How does she have such a huge amount of mana when she clearly doesn't have even a drop of magical blood in her body?
