Our protagonist lives with his wife and daughter but due to no farming, he struggles for their daily bread. He is so in debt that he has to sell his last asset too. In distress he tries to commit suicide but on the way he encounters a little girl Vanhi whi changes his entire perspective towards life.

Read the book to know about his expedition in solving the problems faced by his brother farmers and how he goes on to become a village counsellor. The other important characters who help Subodh in his journey are of Mr Stephen, Mr Sachin and Gajanand who restore belief in humanity.
