After Bruce Wayne made a deal with Doctor Doom, an interdimensional wizard who secretly worked for Darkseid, his action caused Five Earths to battle it out in something called the Secret Wars over one wish in a world he created: Battleworld. However, things go wrong after Doctor Doom uses the winning wish to destroy each of their Earths. He will only bring the Universes back in exchange for the Anti-Life Equation, which Bruce solves. Three years later, the remaining heroes have to work together to bring back their Universes and find a way to defeat the evil Darkseid. And the only way to solve this problem lies in the Anti-Life Equation which Bruce protects throughout his journey.
