It beats to the Earth's whispers.
It speaks with no voice.
It weeps with no tears.
It intimidates with no fear.
It loves with no embrace.
It rages with no menace.
It angers,
but summons no vengeance.
I call it poetry.

I've been through my own struggle, whether it was created in my head by way of prolonged sadness or bitterness/resentment, or if I was struggling with things I had no control over like failed friendships, a broken heart, or family drama. The purpose of this poetry book is one of defiance. Not to others, or anything in particular. It is against the war we wage internally, against ourselves every day. There is no bigger challenge in life than facing your thoughts, your true emotions, your feelings when you lie alone at night by yourself, cornered. The depths of my mind and dialogue of it all. My thoughts. My fakeness. My lies. My confessions. My Raw mental conversations. My weakness. My complicated life. The nonsense that creeps up in my head when I'm thinking. There is no need to understand. There is no need to feel pity. This is Thursday.
