[a psychological fiction]

It had been eight years since Elijah escaped the succumbing hands of his dysfunctional, abusive, and manipulative father after the attempt to murder him drastically took a turn in events and failed, taking a toll on him and leading him to become a Schizophrenic.
Eventually, The father was found guilty and admitted to a Facility for fugitives and the attempt to escape from that threshold was deemed successful.
Elijah had escaped, alright, but what happens when he is face to face with an individual matching his father's supremacy of psychotics and delusion?
What if, in reality, he hasn't been able to escape his father's vice grip at all?
Every tragedy that occurred was linked to his past, and Elijah was getting more desperate the second to escape from being held captive.
What if killing his father was the only possible way out?

Sex, drugs and the death-dealing pressure to make money night after night - It's a steep, downward spiral which 19-year-old Elijah Everdeen has found himself stuck in ever since his parents died. If it weren't for his two siblings, he would have given up years ago. For a long time, he wanted to, thought about it every day even. Sometimes - in the cruelest, darkest of nights - he still does. But if this black-and-white world has really become Elijah's grim reality, then why is this young, mysterious man capable of adding color and a heartbeat to this dreadfully achromatic still life Eli is trapped in? Who is he? And...who is he REALLY? ~~~~~ DISCLAIMER: The storyline of this book is entirely fictional, it does not intend to mimic or describe real circumstances. My heart was still beating. I thought I would have died the same day; under the debris of my car covered in blood, my hand locked into hers... Instead no! I was still alive maybe because my devilish side was stronger than my mortal one, or maybe because hell wasn't ready to welcome me yet. I had experienced death a thousand times, and I had always overcome it. Even now, I felt as if I had once again experienced the icy flames of hell. I didn't remember immediately what had happened, but slowly I put the pieces together in my mind, and everything was clear. The infection by now had spread throughout my body, and I had taken control of my mortal side confusing and inebriating myself. My story is written in blood. I think I will never be forgiven for what I did because I, for first, can't forgive myself. I'm sure you think I'm a disgusting person; a psycho killer. And you are right because I am this kind of person and even more. But everything I have done has brought me to a crossroad between hell and paradise, and now I know for sure which path I want to take. Don't judge me; just listen. My story doesn't certainly narrate pity and compassion, but now I know how little of my past belongs to me. I realized too late the true meaning of the word 'love' and, perhaps, now there is no more hope for me. Allow me, the child of Death, to tell you my story. Allow me to tell you how I sold my soul to the devil, just to be with her.

LANDON LUNA: Someone is directly targeting me-making me out to be Elijah Moon's stalker. I'm not. And in an attempt to combat against the person who accused me, I also make choices I immediately regret. Elijah has been instructed, by me, to stay out of it. I can handle this. Choices are a funny thing when they're made in the name of protection. I needed to protect him. Then GlimmerOfHope pops back up, and they're defending me against the madness. Who is Glimmer? Should I just tell everyone the truth? Wait, don't send me to Vegas with Everest while I'm drunk. Mistakes aren't made, but we definitely make some choices this time. EVEREST PIERCE: When I told Landon I loved him without limits and expectations, I saw the glint of uncertainty. And how could I blame him when the world is attacking him so brutally? My softhearted, compassionate, loving ray of sunshine has a dark cloud looming over him. Landon kept trying to convince me everything is fine when it clearly is not fine. No matter. I promised him I would stand beside him. And I don't go back on the promises I make. I waited too long to give up. Every time I look at him, I see our happy future together. I'm a man who's remained silent for far too long, though. So, when Landon hits his breaking point quickly because the world refuses to leave him alone, I know what I need to do. I might have been a man who remained silent... But maybe it's time I break my silence. And fight for and beside the one I love.

[Book 2 in the Secret series] "That's not what I meant..." I chew on my lip. "Well, what the fuck did you mean then?" He shouts. "When I'm there I don't have to think about you!" I yell back. Wrong choice of words again, Sophia. I curse myself. His form immediately stands and he strides over to me, he is now inches away from me, his body is so close to mine that I am forced to take a couple of steps backwards. My back is pressed up against the window. Noah's breathing is deep but he speaks softly, "when you're there all I can think about is you." He raises his hand and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. I step around him and head for the door, "uh I'm going to go to the hospital." I pick up my bag and rush out of the door leaving Noah in the room and saving myself from doing something I would definitely regret and make me change my mind about going back to Pennsylvania. ------------ 'I love you too,' were the last words Sophia heard before she was banished from her home city and she left without a second thought. If she didn't she knew she would be in danger. A month and a half later Sophia returns as a person close to her is in critical condition in hospital. Everyone's eyes are on Sophia, and they are looking for someone to blame. Will she return to her new life and forget about New York once and for all? Or will she fit right back into the McKenzie's life as if she never left? And as for her relationship with Noah, there might be a chance for romance after all.

40 parts Complete Mature

I was so damn naive it's no wonder I've ended up here. Kidnapped by the man who promised me forever, just as I'd begun to understand the depths of his betrayal. It's a sad truth I didn't marry my husband for love. I married him for the life he promised to provide, and if I'm honest with myself, I married him in hopes one day he'd fill the void Lucas-my first love-left behind. Now after so many years, they're both back. And in my desperation to feel loved, to be wanted and chosen I've walked straight into this trap. All because I forgot life's harshest lesson... I'm not enough. No matter how much or how fiercely I love, the choice will never be me. Especially now. Surrounded by danger and at the mercy of my husband's enemies, I'm forced to face one final bit of truth. Much like love, hope is for the weak. I was a fool to believe in the vows and promises they made.
