For many years, the United Intergalactic Federation stood, proud, strong, and as its name suggests, united. But all of that changed not too long ago. Slowly, people became uneasy and disloyal to the Federation they once called home. Dissatisfied with the ruling government and the way they handled things, rebels began an uprising. Believing that the ruling class had become disassociated with the everyday citizen, the uprising soon turned into a full-scale civil war.
The Great Civil War was not a quick battle or two but turned out to be years and years of bloody and brutal fighting. Brother turned on brother, father turned on son. No one was exempt from this war. No one was safe. Spies were sent into possible rebel territory and given permission to execute anyone they saw as suspicious, with or without evidence. This quickly turned the spies, adequately nicknamed reapers, into power-hungry individuals who could do whatever they wanted under no threat of repercussion.
Not long after this war started, many people realized it was going to get worse before it got better. People started leaving in droves. Some left for new planets, hoping to start a new life, and some negotiated with the hopes of partnering with others for better chances of surviving. One particular group of those migrating for a safer life moved to a planet named Bel'jaa and hoped to work with the natives as they lived there.
This group of about a thousand rushed negotiations with those living there and boarded ships to this new, mysterious planet. Little did they know of what lay ahead of them, and that it was even worse than if they would've stayed...

In a distant realm where magic thrives, ferocious beasts shake mountains and rivers with their mighty roars, and individuals wield superhuman strength capable of reshaping their surroundings. It is a magical world where the strong rules. But rampant corruption and chaos exist, where slavery, rape, murder, and discrimination against the weak were all but common. The magically superior people trample over the lesser unfortunate folks, using them as stepping stones and disposable assets. All hope for these downtrodden souls seems lost, but the wheels of fate have other plans for them. In a faraway ocean, one that is filled with demons and sea monsters, a great technological civilization suddenly appeared, one that came from a world that is only filled with chaos and destruction. This civilization became the heaven for people seeking a stable and peaceful life. The Earth rose and seas parted ways, and the environment had totally changed for its adaptability. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of this great technological civilization are all but manaless, arriving in a world where they are seen as inferior and as slaves. How will they react of finding themselves in a world where people can split mountains or bend the fabric of space, and where beings exist that even conventional weapons cannot defeat? How will they survive against deadly monsters, magical beasts, and superhumans that could threaten entire nations? And how will the other powers that exist in this world react to a powerful, advanced nation filled with a race they deem inferior? This is the story of one of the most powerful empires on Earth, and how it broke the balance of power and rose to the top.

(Y/n)'s family was amongst the few people who had fled the city to find refuge in the forest far from society after the Infection had spread throughout the world like gunpowder. Having never set foot outside of the Uninfected community, (Y/n)'s thirst for adventure had often led her to wonder what might await her outside the safety of her home. She knew what the Infection did to people, how it had corrupted every sense of moral and values in society. How it had corrupted the government and laws. She had heard of more tragic stories than she could count and knew she'd probably never have the courage to see the world for herself. But when (Y/n)'s older sister, Grey, suddenly disappears after another one of her many explorations, (Y/n) finds herself taking a step out of the Uninfected community and into the troubled world of the infected city to find and save her sister. Unfortunately for (Y/n), Grey isn't the only one in danger.
