Detectives Peyton Rake and Delilah Lai are beyond labeling as polar opposites. They do not belong on any common scale of measure, from their appearance, their personality, to their conduct.
The only thing common to them besides the air they breathe is their career in the Bridgeport Investigations Unit, an elite subgroup that is tasked with investigating strange homicides and high profile crimes.
When a strangely dismembered body is found in the metropolitan of Brighton and Peyton's former partner is suddenly discharged on unknown grounds, he is paired with the only other partner-less detective in the Unit, the infamously impersonable Lai.
