James Whitestone has lived a normal life, and is just a regular boy. Or so he thought. James's life is upended when he sees someone summon a spirit in the church graveyard and a mysterious note appears in his backpack a day later, telling to find something that will change everything. The spirit summoner he saw is Ash, a spiteful and scowling girl with terrifying magic, and her best and only friend is the charming and handsome Florian, whose magic draws James in.
