Hannah Walker may be a fun, happy go lucky girl but the truth is she's had a rough couple of years, in fact she's had a rough life. For as long as she can remember her dad abused her mom until that horrible night when her mom took Hannah and they fled into the dark without a trace. They spent the next few years moving from town to town until Hannah faced a devastating loss. Now she finds herself in Belleview looking for a fresh start where she can put her past behind her.

Josh Baker has it all. A loving family, the three best friends a guy could ask for and the role of captain on the region's top high school hockey team with the community's full support behind them. After putting their little town of Belleview on the map their freshman year and bringing home the town's first ever championship title sophomore year, the pressure is on Josh and his friends to produce another championship. His focus is all on hockey and his dreams of one day going pro, no distractions but then a new girl rolls into town and Josh is inexplicably drawn to her in a way he's never been before. A beautiful girl inside and out but with secrets hidden in her eyes, secrets she's not willing to give up so easily. Lucky for Josh, he's not used to giving up easily either.
