Claire Dearing is an innocent smart girl who always gets perfect grades and she's very loved by the teachers. Though she does get bullied because of her smartness and nerdy look. Her strict religious parents won't let her have any fun but Claire doesn't mind. She has to focus on school and make her parents proud.

Owen Grady is a reckless badboy who never attends any classes except the ones he likes. His parents died in a car accident when he was 7 so he lives with his aunt. He often has to take care of his little brother, Peter. Owen can get any girl he wants, all he has to do is snap his fingers and the girls are already around him. 

One day, Claire gets beaten up by the bullies on her school pretty badly and Owen finds her on the ground, shaking and terrified. He offers her help and they become great friends. When they have to work together for a science project the two get a lot closer than they first expected.. their little hang outs for "school" turn into a lot more..
