True, most people dislike the idea of freelancing because, aside from the numerous misconceptions that exist, it appears to be an unreliable work. Consider this: you're surviving paycheck to paycheck, client to client.

However, it's easy to see why most people are afraid of this. After all, freelancing began as a way to supplement one's income, and the goal was to find projects when you needed them, not necessarily on a regular basis. However, with the influx of millennials into the workforce, it has become a viable alternative to traditional 9-to-5 jobs. Furthermore, as a result of the traction it has gained in recent years, businesses of all sizes - including enterprises - are reorienting their hiring practises to include freelancers as well as full-time employees.
