Nick Harvey este băiatul  abia ieșit în societate care alege să descopere lumea împreună cu colegul său cu care  lucra in ultimii doi ani. Aceștia fac cercetări despre cazul  arhivat al dispariției unei bătrâne. La început lumea credea ca e puțin nebună din cauza lucrurilor aivea pe care le făcea, dar ea era mereu plină de viață. Când vecinii observă că totul e nelalocul lui, aceștia raportează dispariția bătrânei. Dar când rudele vin sa scormonească prin crudele amintiri din podul bătrânei, sau când  investigatorii vin să vadă ce se petrece, aceștia află că dincolo de acea ușă a podului se află o întreagă lume.
