When the Gladers race to the Box to meet the Greenie, they're met with a shock. They've been sent a change of clothes, a flat-trans, and instructions take a normal teenager from his normal(ish) life. At first, there's talk of throwing him to the Grievers and being done with it. But after he defeats Gally in a fight, well, people can change their minds.
