Child, tuck yourself in bed, Let me tell a story, Of Lemuria, a kingdom past, And a girl born for glory. Lost from our world came she, Treachery gave close chase, She raised her sword and flew, For she feared not the race. Three long lost lights to save, A mad queen to defeat, The journey would transform her, Her destiny to meet. The path home tragic and faint. Beware the night, Child of Light. ******************************** For such an epic fairy tale, i was saddened that it was only in a video game form. What about the book readers? what about the children who could not afford the game itself? Therefore I decided to be a narrator, to write one, a fan fiction (retaining the rhyming style in my writing) for all those who did not know about such a story; children, adults, and all who still have the child's heart within (him/her)self. The drums of war have just been sent roaring!! The Open Dreams Academy for the privileged and gifted(which is a quiet magic school far away) is now suppose to serve as my HOME!!!! I would dare to fight what he believes to be the best thing to do for me, and flee for a life of my own, but as a Princess I know I live and breath just for the sole purpose of my kingdom and our people. At the age of 13, The world becomes a complicated thing that is more colder than you can ever prepare yourself for!! How I make during my first few years is beyond me, but I know any JOURNEY worth while is DIFFICULT! Luckily for me I am not alone on my journey through life, I have many people to guide me on this grand journey called LIFE! These people not only guide me, but they shape who destiny wants me to become. My nanny Ellen serves as the mother I never was blessed with, and as an angel who will leave me all too soon! Tatiana (my Bff) will keep me always on my toes, well that is when she and I aren't trying to stomp on each others toes, over something stupid (such as stolen boyfriends, or revenge!) What's a few lost fingers between friends, right? Last, but not least is my beloved Daniel. The boy or should I say man?? Who's my playmate, tutor, number one soldier, best friend, and later my unsuspecting SOUL-MATE, Whom I want to 1 day make as my king! Oh, Did I forget to mention he may also be the MURDERER of not only my eldest brother, but almost myself included???? Now if you stick around long enough, you'll find why my life story is worth reading. I sodomy swear that I Princess Alanna Ray Valentine have many surprises in store, just for you as the receivers of my tale!

That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. The events and themes within my pages have meaning, depth, truth-and most of all, reality. You are about to be taken on an adventure about a girl who's life is not like everybody else's. I look like a normal teen girl, I mean, I have hair and two eyes and two hands and feet like everybody else, but I couldn't feel more different. I have two moms, yes. Let's just get that out there before you start reading and close my diary like everyone in my life has shut me out of theirs. All I want is a normal life with normal friends who don't judge me because of my home situation. I don't even remember the last time I went on a sleepover or called somebody my age. I don't mean to be a downer, because it does get better. Life gets better. Struggles are only temporary, I know that now. And by my last words reach your eyes, I've come a long way, and have grown to see potential in myself. I'm sharing this with you because I want to make a difference. I know now that I'm not the only one in the world that feels alone. I've been there, done that, and there's more loneliness to come, but for now, I feel more prepared for it. I know how it feels to sit by yourself at lunch every day and how it feels to watch others go to prom with dates and feel like shit because you don't think you'd even have any friends to go with. Please ready my diary. I am much older now, and much more wiser, and I can't wait for you to realize the potential in yourself, too.
