Xavier Hughes, a rookie detective and a mutant, is partnered with Detective Jason Auburn-a man who despises mutants with every fiber of his being. Their assignment involves solving a case related to a string of murdered mutants. As they delve into the investigation, Xavier grapples with Jason's hostility and hopes to find common ground despite their differences. The tension between them is palpable, and Xavier's determination to approach Jason honestly clashes with the latter's anger and disdain. It's a challenging situation, but Xavier remains committed to understanding and solving the case. Little does he know that this partnership will test not only his detective skills but also his ability to bridge the gap between two opposing worlds.
