Silent Lovers

When people say souls fall in love, they often leave out that sometimes it transcends the realm of the living. That it occurs, too, in the souls that are forgotten. Wandering. Lost. Had they searched enough, they would've found it, eventually - the souls that could have loved them as they should.

Christopher Crane had no problems with being dead. What gets his gut, though, is that Death had chucked him into an inescapable purgatory that eerily resembles the supermarket he frequented in his youth. Its been years now, and he's damn well near given up trying to figure out if he's some sort of numerical error.
