The story takes place after the events of Megaman 6.
Woodman can't help missing Plantman who, after being reprogrammed by dr. Wily, spent time with him, but was later defeated by Megaman and retrieved his initial functions, losing all memories of his time in Wily's fortress, and so, memories of the time he spent with Woodman.
