Addison is an average round about girl until a conflict smacks her hard across the face. Her entire city is under attack in search for seventeen year old girls, just like her, to drag into the labs for testing. Once the first day of chaos passes, the people wearing black start their hunt for boys too.

After watching her parents die right in front of ever very own eyes and having her younger sister taken away to the labs, Addison fears that she will become the next victim. As she tries to flee, Addy has high hopes of escaping for her protection and in search for her sister Mackenzie. On her escape route, Addison runs right into this cute haired fellow. The wolf (A nickname given to the boy) helps her escape along with what he calls his 'gang'. They instantly hate each other and want to slit each other's throats with a knife but they each hold back. Will the two of them ever find love?

Addison struggles to survive in this time of constant attack while she tries to run away from her past. Only, Addison doesn't realize that where ever she may go, violence will always be attracted to her because she is different. Addison finds out that there is a whole different world out in front of her that she has been blinded from for too long. She tries her best to cope with what she is given. It was a gift bestowed upon her that should not be taken lightly. Thankful for her gift, Addison view the world differently when she finally understands all the lies that were told to keep her safe. Later on, she realizes that the people in black are trying to test the teens for special gifts that Addy and her sister both have.

Will Addison save find her sister? Can she accept the new world she was born into? And most importantly, will Addy save the people like her, from the the people in black?
