I was five until Chaux came. I was five when the affliction occurred. My name was Kale Ercel, and I was living in Toronto with my parents, until a bright, lime light bursted into the sky. Nobody knew what it was. A star? A comet? A sun? I was on the couch in the living room of the house, until I saw a strange green ray appear outside the wooden porch. I then walked closer to it, since it glowed like a fire inside the lantern of a dark, spider-infested cave. Turns out that they lime glow would probably burn me, but I was too concentrated on the shining aura around it. My parents wondered why I was slowly walking to the porch, until I got too close, and something from beside the house exploded. I lowered my head as I looked backed, then the fire came to me.
Kale is now 18, looking for a way to stop the affliction in Toronto. Though he seems like a hero for taking the responsibility of restoring humanity in Toronto, he isn't always good. What once was a sweet, caring child is now a dangerous, electrical assassin that people call "Target".
Will Target save Toronto and be a hero? Or will Target have the same fate as the infected and turn into a villain?
(Highly inspired by the novel series "The Reckoners", But main plot is thought by ContinuousClockwork.)

Hi. My name is Joules. Yes I know, odd name. But let me tell you how I got that name. Three years ago, when I was twelve, a group of my fathers friends stole me from home one night and took me to a lab. My father, being a scientist, loves to experiment on people. But not me. He promises he would never hurt me. But his friends didn't. As they snuck me into the lab, they hooked me up to wires and monitored my heart rate. However, a thunderstorm hit the building and shorted out the cables. But not before I was hit. My heart rate went up drastically and they pulled out the wires. I was so angry I lost my temper. Now the police are looking for me. I shocked those men. And I killed them.Complete

"What of this thief I hear that has hidden themselves in The Lands of Luxury?" I say. Rail lowered his emerald eyes towards the horizon. "Have you thought of my proposal?" Rail asks, avoiding my question. He had asked me many times to become his protector and leave the True One. Of course, I always say no. It pained me to see the hurt in his once peaceful eyes. "You know my answer." I whisper. I lay my hand on top of his. There was always a spark that clouded my mind when I touched Rail. I pull away, dropping my eyes. "This was a wonderful gathering, Rail. Thank you, but I must return to the True One." I begin to light the room with my silverlight overpowering Rail's golden blaze, getting ready to flash. "Wait! Stay to find the thief. Please, Aderes." I'm hovering over the floor. Rail grabs my hand, and the shock brings me back to him. I lower myself and let go of him. "I will stay until the thief is found. Then I must return to the True One's heaven." I try to smile at Rail to calm him. It works. His green eyes linger on me as I walk away from the balcony and return to the gathering. *** After meeting Jay, Sarah's father is killed, which causes her to accidentally tap into unknown powers. Sarah begins to learn the truth about who Aderes is and how Sarah herself is connected to her. But most importantly, she learns who's been lying to her since the beginning.Complete

He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.Complete
The Reluctant Hero.
The story is set in Niriyain, an interdimensional prison world where those who enter can never leave.
