Archaeologist Flora Skyes gets more of an adventure than she bargained for while conducting her PhD research in France. Searching for signs of ancient Neanderthal habitation, she stumbles upon a hidden cave, complete with the skeleton of a long dead cave bear. Incredibly exciting, as the animal is from the same time period Flora is researching! But the next thing she knows, she seems to be in a completely different land, and... time?

And now there's a cave bear who is very much alive, and not at all happy to discover an intruder.

Young hunter Shar of The People is out hunting when the cries of a woman in danger draw his attention. He comes across the startling scene of an unusual female in the clutches of an enraged cave bear. Shar rescues the woman and is immediately enchanted by her, vowing to care for Flora and earn the honor of her calling him mate.

But they do not speak the same language, and they're not even of the same species. Let alone from the same time... 

Can love truly blossom between Flora and Shar? And will they be able to forge a life together in this primeval world?
