Prince Alastair needs to get married to break a curse that was placed on him when he was a baby. The curse is said to not affect him until he's 21 years old. No one knows exactly what the curse will do (except the king, queen, and prince who keep it to themselves), but the only way to break it is true loves kiss. His parents decide to host a selection on his 21st birthday to try to find his soulmate as soon as possible so the curse won't last long.
