Paris was a painful city. A city full of rejection, hurt, betrayal, short-lived triumph, and dead ends. Getting out of Paris had been Adrien's best option when he was 21.
Marinette was glad to be home. But after years of being Ladybug, her views of the city had been... tainted, to say the least. She'd been happy to move away five years ago. A change of scenery had been welcomed.
After years away, Marinette and Adrien have made their way back to Paris with the intention of having a fun, temporary visit. But as always, trouble strikes Paris when they least expect it. Now Chat Noir and Ladybug are back in town and Hawkmoth has plans. Big plans.
