Connor Murphy, a reasonably well-known youtube artist/vlogger/gamer/conspiracy theorist/commentary channel (decided he was going to do everything fun), runs out of money to pay for his own rent (he refused any of his parents' money) and moves in with this guy who used to be in his high school (through the recommendation of another person who used to be in his high school).
Evan Hansen was just living his lonely, terrified, mildly infuriating, writer's-block filled life when Connor Murphy, someone who relentlessly picked on him in high school, moves into his appartement.
