Connie Luria Evans' life has never been normal.
Her parents died when she was ten, her and her best friend (or maybe girlfriend I still haven't decided) Amari escaped the orphanage when they were twelve, they trained in the wolf house with Lupa until they were thirteen, lived in the wilderness for one week where Amari was killed by monsters.
After hours of running, Connie finally makes it to Camp Jupiter. But something's wrong- One of the praetors are dyeing, and despite the campers many prayers, the gods refuse to do anything to help to help.
So the not- sick praetor calls a quest- A quest to find the physician's cure; capable of healing any ailment- including death.
Paris Rose, son of Venus, is chosen to lead the quest. He chooses to Connie and a girl named Monika Keene to join him on the quest.
Connie knows she should be happy. After all, isn't this the life she's always wanted?
It's just that Amari isn't there...
