Along with Axel, a group of teenage boys wake up in a train with no memory of who they are or where they are going. They make up the remainder of the human population. They soon discover they are much further away from home then they thought. When they look outside, they realise the sky is black tinged with blood, the buildings are made of flesh and plumes of smoke escape from the cracks of the scorched grounds. Time does not exist here. Even the sun and moon has abandoned them. They quickly discover they are not alone leading Axel to believe he isn't the good guy after all. Truth to be told, he doesn't even think he's human. When Axel discovers something far worse then he could ever imagine, he knows no matter how much he wants it some stories won't have a happy ending. In fact, this might be the final ending for humans. It's been ten years since the fall of humanity. I was only ten years old when the zombies took over. The military told us to flee underground, explaining that it was safer. The zombies are smart, too smart. They can learn to hide themselves. Some of them disguise themselves to look like normal people. We tell them apart by checking their eyes. Zombies have enlarged pupils compared to humans. When people visit you every single day, it's hard to get lonely. Unless you're a ghost. Actual it gets quite annoying. In fact it's heart breaking when the people you used to love the most look straight through you. It's even worse when they blame you for their broken heart. Because they have no idea I'm dead.
