Good friends Dream, George, Sapnap, and Bad live together in a quaint little cottage surrounded by a picturesque forest - but all is not well. The four of them are alone, the only apparent survivors in a land ravaged by Shades; evil, shifting, shadow-like creatures with piercing purple eyes. As Dream pursues survival, safety, and love, he comes to realize that his enemies are getting deadlier than he ever imagined - and not just physically...
This is my first time writing a story for the world to see, so I hope it goes well! (And I hope y'all go easy on me haha-)
A few notes:
- George is NOT colorblind in this fic.
- It will be mainly Dream's POV with hopefully a few George POV chapters mixed in.
- This story will NO LONGER BE PG LOL.
- Almost everything (except the main plot points) is subject to change!

Dream, George, and Sapnap have been living together in Florida for years when a zombie apocalypse uproots their lives. Along with other survivors, they try to survive the apocalypse while also dealing with expected and unexpected romances and friendships. Can they figure out their romantic feelings before it destroys their friendships? And their chance at survival? ------- Trigger warnings: blood, violence, weapons, smut, swearing, underage drinking, injury ------- This story is completely fictional though it ships real people. I don't ship dnf or any of the other ships in this story in real life and I've tried to be as respectful as possible. Dream has been a selective mute for a few years now after a certain incident. The list of people hes comfortable talking to is small, and does not include one of his best friends, George. George is ready to go. His house is packed up, his plane ticket is booked, and his room is ready in Dream and Sapnap's house. He's been waiting for this moment for years now. But when a tragic accident occurs, he is stopped from seeing the people he loves. Dream knows George is spiraling, but he doesn't know how to help him. He's worried, even when George doesn't really seem to care about his own health. He knows he has to help him; but how? Even if they did meet up, how would they handle seeing each other? George doesn't understand his own feelings; meanwhile, Dream has no idea if he likes him back. Either way, these emotions are bound to come out once they finally see each other face-to-face. Old story I wrote, it's cringy and probably doesn't have the best grammar, read on own risk. It's almost Dreams birthday so George decideds to go to Florida to surprise Dream, Sapnap helps with the planning and gets George there. But George's past makes it hard for him to stay there. He wants to go back to London. His father was a scientist, a great one even but one day he went mad. A new project was created. Project 404. George was experimented so much like nothing before.
