There are things in the world that will do everything they can to ensure those who wish nothing more than a simple life are dragged into the muck and chaos of conflict.
Sometimes, the reasons are convoluted.
Sometimes, they're more simple to understand than one would wish.
-Part of a writing challenge where an individual was assigned a tarot card with the specific meaning. The tarot for this short story was The Fool, Reversed. This short story is also part of an ongoing series being developed.
