Maybe if they met at a different time, under different circumstances, he could have saved them. Louis had to do what was best for Harry, but it kills him a little everyday. Louis sees his smile everyday, but he knows it's no longer for him. Someone else makes Harry happier, but Louis wanted it to be him. They could have had forever. Louis would have given Harry everything. "Forget what I said, it's not what I meant" Harry had tried to say, but Louis knew that wasn't the truth. After everything they've been through, Louis still loves him.

Louis and Harry were changing, everyone could see it, you had to be blind not to. The fans, modest and the boys, they all knew that Harry and Louis were changing, and not for the better. Ever since that day a few years ago when Louis posted the bullshit tweet about Larry, Harry has been avoiding him. Louis tried to figure out why bu the older lad wouldn't tell him. He would simply just wave Louis away and tell him that he was fine. But he wasn't. Harry was slowly breaking inside. You see, Harry loved Louis, he still does. All that Larry stuff, it wasn't a joke to him, it was all real. In fact he was planning on telling Louis about his feeling that night, but after he read the tweet he knew that he couldn't. Louis had eventually given up on Harry and decided to spend more time with Eleanor, which in turn only hurt Harry more. Will Louis finally realize what he is doing to his former best friend? Will Harry ever build the courage to tell Louis about his feelings? And how will the rest of the boys help their friends in their struggle to find a little bit of happiness?

Okay, bear with me. As much as I love Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice as a representation of that time era, as a feminist, I couldn't find myself writing a story where women's life goal is to marry rich and to look pretty. I couldn't turn it into a Larry story either since homosexuality was illegal. So I compromised and made an alternative universe where gay is okay and women have free will. It's a fictional time before cars and phones but with a less strict society. Are you with me? I used the basic storyline from the novel and even added the dialogue from the novel. Louis is Lizzie. Harry is Mr. Darcy. Niall is Mr. Bingely. I thought about making Zayn Mr. Wickham but I couldn't be that cruel so Mr. Wickham is Mr. Wickham. Haha.

Never talk unless the king says to. You'll make friends with only the palace guards. When you are grown you will marry a woman, I find suitable for you. Never refer to me as father, only as king. His mother was his rock though. She had a heart of gold and only married the king because parents forced her to. Louis didn't want to turn out like his parents marrying someone he doesn't even love, but who would he marry instead? He can't leave the palace without permission, and when he does it's not for a fun outing to meet people it's for some sort of meeting. That was until a boy came to him. The boy was a peasant sneaking into the palace. He was hoping to find jewelry or something valuable to steal. By his luck the window he snuck through was that of Louis' bedroom. When Louis awoke by a loud crash, he saw the most handsome boy he's ever seen. Somehow Louis' window is now always open and Harry's sneaking through it every night. Him and Harry stay up to the late hours of the night talking about anything and everything. Louis starts feeling feelings for Harry but keeps them to himself. He can't tell anyone. What will the king do if he knew Harry was a peasant? Or let alone that Louis was gay?

Sorry in advance, English is not my first language, so I'm sure I will make mistakes. I also am a new Larry, so I'm sure I'm not filled in with all the details (although I feel like I did some pretty rough research, lol). Obviously this is all fiction, and not everything will align with the 'real' timelines and happenings. It's not reality... Although I wish that Larry is and will be open one day 🙈 I hope you enjoy! I know I sure enjoy reading Larry fanfics lol.
