I ran and I didn't look back.


It was the crack of dawn, the flaming orange sun only just peeking over the horizon towards which my pounding feet led me. My heart fluttered as I bent my knees and leaped over a gushing stream, stumbling as my heels narrowly avoided missing the stone and causing me a tumble into the icy river. I allowed my shaky chest a five second breather before running again, chasing after the laughing boy who led the way.
It was a race against him.
A race against time.
But most importantly: a race against a dragon.

This is a Harry Potter fanfiction but based around five years before the golden trio arrive at Hogwarts and around Charlie Weasley. If I got my maths wrong there I'm sorry!
