"Percy!" A panicked voice calls, sounding like it's not the first time they said his name. "Are you okay?"

Percy stills, not sure what to say. His mouth opens and then closes again and his gaze flies to a scar running down his arm. "Time heals all wounds." He shrugs, a casual gesture, though the creases around his eyes and the tightness to his lips is anything but casual.

Natasha - for that's who's been calling his name - studies him for a moment, noting the way he avoided the question. "No, Percy. Time fiddles with your memories and dulls the pain of the wound, but it remains there all the same."

Percy's hand drops down to his side, his expression carefully blank. "And what of emotional pain? Does it remain?"

"It festers." Natasha lets out a slow breath, trying to keep her face in a neutral position, though her eyes betray her concern and the fact that she speaks from experience. "And the more you try to contain it, to hide it, the more it grows. Then one day it just... implodes. Like a storm. And... all the water just... drags you under. Until someone pulls you out."

Percy laughs drily. "See that's the problem, Natasha. Everyone that's tried to pull me out is dead. And gods know I'm not strong enough to pull myself out."

I said..." the golden stranger spat, "KNEEEEL!" he roared, banging his stick on the ground and creating a huge blue flash. All around me, people froze in place, and started... kneeling? Even the ones that didn't speak English kneeled obediently. Why are you listening to this psycho? I looked around frantically, praying not to be the only one left standing. Because I refuse to kneel to some scary jerk with a big stick! No way! Oh crap, I was the only one left standing. I looked around nervously. What am I doing? I spotted Cath giving me a terrified look like, Get down here right now, you idiot! But I refused to back down. Okay, no other option. Time to be a stupid teen, I thought frantically. "No," I said quietly, my eyes wide and muscles tense. I tried to suppress my scared tone, but I had a feeling I didn't sound very brave. I'm so dead I'm so dead! The man's eyes speared into my gut. I couldn't stop myself from trembling, but I tried desperately not to make it too obvious. "What?" he hissed with enough venom in his tone to scare a rattlesnake. Tears collected in the corner of my eyes, and a cold feeling started to make its way through my stomach and hands. "I. Said. No," I managed to get out. His eyes narrowed. A jolt of terror ran through me. What's he going to do? Slowly, like a lion that cornered its prey, he stepped towards me. The voices in my head rose to a crescendo, warring in my brain as he reached a pale, long-fingered hand for my head. I tried to run, to scream, to hit him, to do anything to stop him from doing whatever he was about to do, but my body was petrified by the tendrils of terror running through it. He smirked, causing a sickening burst of fear to rush to my head. What is he doing WHAT IS HE DOING-? Then he pressed his hand to my forehead and a green light flared where his skin met mine. I had just enough time to look at him like Are you crazy? before the world went black.

'Glancing to her left, feeling the seat next to her shifting, Persephone's eyes locked onto the side profile of a boy. Black, curly hair, pointed ears, tongue sticking out in concentration of whatever he was fiddling with in his hands. Feeling her gaze, he turned to her, seeing her awake and grinned. His grin immediately told Persephone that the little Latino was not to be trusted with anything sharp or pointy or potentially dangerous. - "Child of lightening, beware the earth, The giants' revenge the eight shall birth, The forge and the dove shall break the cage, And death unleash through Hera's rage, Death shall meet her enemy soon, The curse she lands may be her doom." - Leo saw the fear in her eyes, as she stared at him. His heart stopped, wanting nothing more than to comfort her, but knowing they didn't have the time for it. "Come on, stay close to me, you'll be fine." He told her, pulling her up, wrapping a hand around her wrist and sprinting off in the direction of the warehouse. - "I wish someone looked at me the way Jason looks at Piper." She muttered to herself, not meaning for Leo to hear. He furrowed his eyebrows. "What makes you so sure someone doesn't already look at you like that?" - Persephone reached for Leo's hand, vision swimming. "It burns." She told him. His façade started to crack. Persephone loved seeing the son of Hephaestus happy, but this was the complete opposite. His expression was crestfallen, eyes pained. He entwined her fingers with his, clutching her hand tightly. A stray tear fell. "Oh would you shut up!" Pandora yelled at the boy across from her. "Or what? What are you going to do? That witchy shit you love to do or maybe splash me?!" Luke laughed sharply as he started towards Pandora. She shook her head as a small gasp left her lips as her back hit the wall, "looks like you've ran out of places to go Crescent" he said tauntingly as she looked away from him. He lightly pulled her head back to look at him as he gave a wicked smile as he leaned in to whisper in her ear, "you may be the daughter of Poseidon but your mine now" he whispered sending a shiver down her spine as they held eye contact. Pandora Nightgood wasn't like your normal demigod, having a mortal and immortal parent. No, she had a Nereid for a mother and Poseidon as her father. A story that has repeated throughout the centuries but nothing came of it until Pandora was born. He fled the first chance he got as he was reminded of the oath he had broken for the first time since the oath was made back at the end of World War 2. But like Pandora's box nothing stays a mistry for long. The now 17 year old has been at Camp Half Blood for 9 years as she tries to grapple with her powers she was given and struggles to find some sort of normality within her hectic life, but what happens when a boy named Percy Jackson stumbles into her life? Will he affect her life in more ways than one? And how will he affect the relationships she's worked so hard to build. Running. Ugh. How long have I been running? My small hands shove people out of the way the best I can but I'm mostly just twisting and turning through the crowds. Still, I can almost feel his hands still on me. Reaching towards me, grabbing my shirt, pulling me back into his bruising hands. Suddenly, I run straight into someone and fall back on my butt. "Christ, kid." A tall man curses and looks down at me with bright blue eyes that widen when he sees the look of pure fear on my face. "You alright?" He offers me his gloved hand and I search his face. He's familiar. The news. I've seen him on tv with the Avengers. I grab onto his offered hand with both of mine. This might be my only chance to escape. Percy has what some would call a complicated family life. While running from her life, she runs into a certain supersoldier. As much as Bucky would like to think he's a hard man, he can't resist helping this little girl. And maybe getting a little more attached than he should. *I DO NOT OWN THE AVENGERS ONLY THE CHARACTERS I CREATE*
