A girl with secrets
A woman in shackles to the government
A country divided by a forest
The story of Verm of Afros is a lengthy one. A girl, from who knows where, with mechanical limbs and obscure allegiances. Whom does she serve? What does she believe in? What are friends and why do they matter?
Welcome to Afros, a nation filled with ice and permafrost for 9 months out of the 12 in the year.
Where freezing and frostbite is nothing new, where starving if you fail to secure enough food during Wintertide is a common sight.
Where the mages sit on power, but are well and truly shackled to their magic.
What is the game? What is being played at? Is there truly a game?
Who are you? How long can you keep the beast, the monster inside you, when it's not really a monster, but who you are?
Follow the story of Verm of Afros, a story of self-discovery where the mask can only last for so long.

Their kingdom vanished centuries ago, buried beneath the snow. But legends have a way of returning. Crystal has always been a warrior, deadly with her daggers and skilled in ice magic. But something within her is changing-her power surging beyond control. When an entire battlefield freezes at her feet, the truth becomes undeniable. She is the last heir of the Frostborn. The true Ice Queen. But there is little time to dwell on her awakening. Racnea, the serpent demon, may be wounded, but he is not defeated. He is waiting. Watching. And he will return. Yet he is not the only threat. The Veil Source, an ancient force long thought forgotten, has emerged from the shadows. No longer in hiding, it spreads its influence, warping the world with its dark magic. Direbeasts prowl the lands-monstrous, primal creatures twisted by the Veil's power. And lurking in the darkness, the Veil Shadows move unseen, consuming all in their path. Crystal and Kallbis must uncover the truth of her lineage before her power consumes her. The key lies in ancient ruins, forgotten archives, whispers of a past erased by time. But as they search, the Veil tightens its grip on the world. The battle for her throne is only the beginning. 19 parts Complete Mature
(Epic Fantasy/LGBT Romance) COMPLETED & PUBLISHING A Guard's Request will be published with Fantastic Books Publishing in October of 2023, but I have decided to leave this early draft up for anyone who can't wait until then. With the creation of the Valnyr Galaxy, the Guardians vowed never to interfere with the affairs of the mortal realm. However, when sinister forces seek to steal the power of the Manastream, Alamantra's Guardian finds that some oaths are easier to keep than others. Life is about to change for the citizens of Freya as a blight sweeps across the land, corrupting the mana held within their bodies. Princess Arafrey finds herself stripped of all she holds dear, alone on the frontlines. However, there is hope as guards Reyla and Tharin take on a quest from the Gods to cure the sickness, leaving Freya to traverse the Ten Kingdoms in search of The Hand of Miera. But will they be able to find it in time? Meanwhile, in the East, The Duran Empire marshals their forces as the Emperor seeks to invade the starved desserts of Sudra. But the Sudra hold a terrible secret and Queen Nymati will not go down without a fight. * * * Imagine if Tim Burton and Joss Whedon got together to make a story to rival Full Metal Alchemist or Fairy Tail: that's my writing style. I hit some pretty deep topics but I try keep it light and entertaining. Trigger Warnings/Mature Content: I will post trigger warnings at the beginning of scenes to warn people, but let's make a list here just to be sure. Sex, survivors guilt, suicide, rape, murder, gay/lesbian sex, masturbation, assault, torture, addiction... There maybe more I missed, let me know if you feel I should add anything else. Amongst the Waking Dreams by raeanngoodman
6 parts Complete
Nymeria Verne has always loved fantasy books. She loves the mystical lands, the fantastical creatures, the happy fairy tale endings...but what she loves most about them is that they are nothing like the real thing. Nymeria was raised in the land of faeries, constantly visiting the mortal realm with its urban cities but never understanding them. As a human living among fae, she has grown up always knowing that she is not pretty enough, not strong enough, not ever enough-for who could compare to the ethereal fae? She doesn't belong among either the faeries or the humans, and yet she loves her home and is desperate to find her place among the Seelie Courts. Despite the beauty and draw of the faerie world, there is a sinister undertone to it, and Nymeria knows that she can never be safe as a fragile human there. Not even her strenuous relationship with the faerie she refuses to call 'father' could help her. Her only chance of security and belonging is to one day come of age and become a faerie's bride, but at seventeen years old Nymeria refuses to accept marriage as the only option. In her search for her own path and independence, she stumbles across a prince of fae that offers all the solutions to her problems. She becomes his servant and agrees to spy for him in return for protection and a place in his court when he becomes High King. As a mortal, Nymeria can do something the fae can't: lie-a trait that the prince sees an opportunity in. Along the way, she meets a mortal boy, Collin, that was raised among fae just as she was. As her reluctant feelings for him grow, he has her questioning her choices and what it is she actually wants. Perhaps leaving the land of fae would be her better option... But her prince has no intention of letting her go.
