Izuku is misdiagnosed as quirkless. Because of this, he suffers extreme physical and verbal bullying, especially from his former friend Bakugo. One day Bakugo tells Izuku to "Go jump off a roof and hope you're born with a quirk in the next life". Later that day  he asked AllMight if he could be a hero even without a quirk. Allmight responded with a simple "No". That same day he comes home depressed only to see his mother dead on the floor. He snaps and decides that he would end it all.
