In the far future the corporation wars left the human empire in ruins. Our story takes place on a backwater planet where daily life is a struggle to survive. Death is a constant overhanding thread due to the planets own ecosystem. The only reason humans live there is to collect plants and insects for the large pharmaceutical corps. But when a visiting dignitary and a group of new colonist are murdered all eyes turn to the local backwater military to investigate to solve case. And that case lands on Kevin Sandlo's broken desk. With only one survivor and no leads he does what he always does and ignores the problem until someone tries to kill him. He takes that a little personal.
As the only survivor Kayla must quickly learn to survive as few ever leave this harsh planet alive. Meeting a helpful young man named Theo seems to be her saving grace. He's cute, smart, and quick with a joke to make her smile. That is until she meets Estia and her whole world changes. Kayla is torn between playing it safe and being happy or taking a chance and falling in love.All Rights Reserved
