Shadows of the Fallen

Sixteen-year-old Nolan and his friends are struggling to survive a civil war that already has killed their parents and ravaged their country. Born directly after the war between the human race and their shapeshifting race, the teens grew up in a world of conflicting opinions and violence. Stuck with impulsiveness and irrationality, each friend must learn how to balance their teenage emotions and the ever-poised emotions of the ancient animal counterpart in their subconscious.
Nolan and his friends make more enemies than friends, and must determine who is truly their ally and who will turn on them in a moment's notice. Almost immediately, their fight to avenge their parents morphs into an uphill battle to survive, as their war efforts end up making their small squadron a prime target. It becomes even more of a fight for survival when their enemy's leader, the man who killed their parents, vows to personally hunt them down. When the four teens face off with the man who left them orphaned, their unresolved rage threatens to kill them all.
