Inspired by the Lincoln Rhyme series written by Jeffery Deaver Kircher Covell, former criminologist, had suffered severe nerve damage in his arms and legs in an accident 5 years earlier. The genius criminologist spent his days bedridden, furious at life for taking away everything he loved. His expertise would be needed when a series of gruesome deaths start piling up and no one could stomach to look at the scenes. His legs being what they were he couldn't search the crime scenes himself, so they had to find someone to do exactly as he said. The lucky.. or not so lucky.. beat cop who found the first body, Ashton Gunn, would be his new apprentice. And she was quite the fast learner. Together, will Covell and Gunn be able to solve this before it's too late?

"Do you feel that sharp, stabbing sensation in your wrists? That's your median nerve, crushed by the nails. It's why your fingers won't stop twitching." Sora's life was set ablaze-twice. First, when she lost her parents in the mysterious fire and secondly when her new home was burned, leaving nothing but suffering and rage. Now an intern at Seoul's Criminology University, Sora is determined to uncover the secret of her family's premature death. Her search leads her to Phoenix, a detective agency, and Namjoon, her parents' close friend, who reluctantly tells her to stay away from the case that ruined her family. But when a new, gruesome murder replicates the old Metro Murders, Sora and her intern colleague Jimin are trapped in a deadly game. With each new revelation, Sora spirals deeper into a cycle of deception, secret truths, and gory revenge. But the truth is worse than anyone had ever imagined. And the line between justice and revenge is blurred in ways no one could have envisioned. Where past and present meet, there is still one question: What shines brighter-justice, revenge, or the desire to leave the truth enfold?
